Mac Vs PC Part I

Hi All,

Well Recently Microsoft released the much awaited MS Vista Operating system for PC's. The initial reviews are good and they say that it looks more like the Mac OS. I have always been a Windows PC user but for a short period during my higher education i was introduced to the Mac. Well i fell in love with the machine the instant i saw it, not so for what Mac can do but for their design. Design is taken very seriously at Apple computers, iPod should tell you everything about the importance of the appeal. But if all is well with the Mac's then why Windows PC rules the computer world? Can we answer that? we can try.

Afterall its up to us users to decide what we want. Recently i had to make that choice. I was looking to buy Laptop/Notebook. So after looking at Dell, HP, Sony, Lenovo and Others, i liked Samsung, for some damn reason it was not for sale in the USA. Samsung, Can you hear me, if you can, you lost a potential customer. My second choice was Lenovo (formerly IBM), i was getting a decent discount (i know some people who work for IBM you know). I did not even look at Apple Notebooks until my friend asked me to take a look at Apple stock to buy. I was convinced that i needed a windows based system because of the ease of use and the available applications and choices, above all the habit. Also what made me take a hard look at MacBook is that now they can run windows. and amazingly the hardware i was getting with Mac at the price was way better than what I was getting with any other PC. I am not a big fan of cheaper Dell's and Acer's, but i wanted a good deal for my buck. And I got lucky with the release of MacBook with the new Intel Core 2 Duo Processors. I bought one just because I always wanted a Mac and now I can run Windows on them.

Now its been just a month since I bought it, I am sure I have not made a mistake. I have not run Windows yet on it, but will certainly soon. I am in no hurry though. I love what i can do with the new MacBook, make videos, chat, take photos, publish web pages, iTunes and most of the other things I can/can't do with windows.

That's it for now folks, will continue stories of me and my MacBook.
